Rob Allen Tuna Roller Speargun 110 cm

The New Rob Allen Tuna 110 cm roller speargun is great addition to the world of roller spearguns ! The name Rob Allen is synonymous with quality in components and design, and that is exactly what Rob Allen had delivered with the long awaited Tuna Roller Speargun. The new tuna roller gun features high quality rollers with ceramic bearings fitted to a redesign of the famous Tuna muzzle. New roller muzzle design includes a slightly elongated shaft rail with line guide for the shooting line to sit when shaft is loaded. Rigid roller brackets keep the roller axle firm and not flexing under the stress of loading the two 16 mm bands. Another great feature is the stainless roller band anchors that are placed on the sides of the barrel in front of handle. This positioning of the anchors keeps the bands perfectly in line with the rollers in muzzle to optimize a fluid motion of the bands in retraction. The tuna roller comes fully rigged with muzzle bungee and double wrap of spectra shooting line direct to the 7 mm x 150 cm carbon alloy spring steel notched shaft. Underside of roller muzzle also features the use of the Rob Allen stainless steel U-Type shackle line guide. The 80 cm + 90 cm size Tuna roller spearguns feature a loading handle tied into the top of roller bands, easy for loading these shorter length rollers. The 100 cm + 110 cm do not, an come with a Rob Allen load assist.

Why a Roller Speargun ?
Roller spearguns utilize 100% of potential band retraction as opposed to a standard band speargun which uses only 2/3. The added 1/3 of band retraction to muzzle allows a roller speargun to shoot potentially 1/3 further. This allows spearfishers to use a shorter length speargun in conditions where they would normally use a longer speargun. There is also less kick when fired which increases accuracy.

Other Great features of the Tuna Roller Speargun

  • The mechanism is manufactured from glass reinforced nylon and also has a solid 316 stainless steel sear.
  • the two 16 mm (5/8") power bands with spectra wishbones
  • World famous Rob Allen Vecta 2 handle provides reliability, comfortable grip with clear line of site for aiming and easy to access thumb operated safety on top of handle.

5 of 5 Rob Allen 110 Rollergun April 24, 2017

I am a big fan of Rob Allen spearguns and have been using them for many years.  This Rollergun is far and away the best RA I have used.  It has plenty of power and is deadly accurate due to its minimal recoil.  Just returned from a trip to Baja where it was a great reef gun.  Maneuverable enough for hunting Pargo in the holes with enough range for reaching Cabrilla out over the sand.  Rollerguns can sometimes be a bear to load but the included load assist made loading this gun a breeze.  I cant wait to use it on Block Island for big Striped Bass this summer.
